Electromobility in Hong Kong’s Green Finance Week

The Hong Kong Green Week-Finance Stream concluded on March 1 with more than 1.600 attendees from nearly 30 jurisdictions, where one of the focal themes was the promotion of the electric vehicle supply chain in climate finance discussions. Participants delved into the role of sustainable financing in supporting the transition to electric vehicles as part of the broader dialogue on the Asia Pacific's green development. Reflecting the importance of electromobility, the event series included dedicated conversations on financing the net-zero transition with specific attention to the electric vehicle sector. The events serve as a precursor to a larger mission by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority to enrich Hong Kong's green finance ecosystem and precede the Joint Climate Finance Conference to be co-hosted with Dubai in 2024, further emphasizing electromobility financing.
