DHL has launched its first EV Center of Excellence in Shanghai, China, to assist electric vehicle (EV) companies and related sectors in expanding both locally and internationally. This center, managed by DHL Global Forwarding and developed in cooperation with various DHL divisions, offers end-to-end logistics solutions for EV products, including batteries and charging infrastructure. It aims to leverage China's position as a leading EV manufacturer and battery supplier, with Chinese automakers producing over half of the world's EVs. The center features certified warehousing, compliant transportation, and specialized handling of dangerous goods like batteries. DHL's commitment to innovation and sustainability is reflected in its fleet of electric and hydrogen vehicles in China and its efforts to electrify its fleet and introduce hydrogen energy trucks for long haul operations.
