Rabot Charge
Demand also changes. It is usually lowest at night and then increases during the day. Most electricity is needed in the evenings, as most consumers are at home at that time.
Negative electricity prices are regularly occurring periods where you receive money instead of paying when you buy electricity.
They arise when the electricity supply exceeds demand and there is therefore a risk of overloading the grid. The reason for an oversupply may be that volatile power generators such as wind turbines and photovoltaic systems generate a disproportionate amount of energy due to strong winds or sunlight, which is then fed into the electricity grid.
With smart electricity meter
Billing takes place monthly based on your actual consumption data and the hourly exchange electricity price. In the first two months, you will have two fixed payments that correspond to the rate offered when you signed your contract.
Without a smart electricity meter
If you do not have a smart electricity meter, we use statistics on the average consumption of household customers (including standard load profile (SLP)), which are provided to RABOT Charge by the exit grid, to calculate your consumption. Based on this, RABOT Charge assumes hourly consumption values and purchases the electricity on the exchange. The prices obtained are passed on to you. After the regular meter reading (usually annually), the load profile is reconciled with the actual consumption and settlement takes place in which the (dynamic) advance payments are offset.
