Tips: Take a break

Charging doesn't necessarily have to be a mere necessity, it can also be a great opportunity to take a break and recharge your own batteries.

Instead of getting bored during the charging process, use the time to sit back and relax: You can sit in the car, listen to your favourite music, read a book or e-book, or even do a short meditation. Or simply do nothing and enjoy the moment. If the charging station is near a park or an area of interest, you could also take a walk. This not only helps to get your daily steps in, but exercise can also be refreshing and revitalising. The same is true of a short training session, such as stretching exercises.

Do something good for your body and mind – for example, with a walk or a short meditation while your vehicle is charging.
Interesting discussions about electric mobility or travel experiences often develop with your passengers or other electric car drivers at the charging station. Or grab your smartphone and chat to friends or family – a good opportunity to talk without being distracted by other commitments. You can also use the time to plan your route, research POIs or organise the next stopovers.
Use the time during the charging process for valuable conversations with family or friends.

Modern charging stations are located near cafes, restaurants or shopping centres, offering the perfect opportunity to take a break and recharge your batteries. Aral leads the way: true to the motto “Enjoy a break with Aral pulse”, the company makes the charging experience even more pleasant by also installing its ultra-fast charging stations throughout Germany in places where you can conveniently charge while doing other things - for example at Burger King restaurants or very close to REWE and REWE To Go supermarkets. So next time, enjoy a fresh coffee to go and lots of other great deals and do your shopping while charging your electric car.

Ultra-fast throughout Germany – charging on the go with Aral pulse: You can find the ultra-fast charging stations both in rural areas and in the city, and they are available 24/7. Enjoy a relaxed break with a wide range of offers – find your nearest Aral pulse charging station here.

Aral pulse charging stations are strategically locate so that you can do everyday activities such as shopping or enjoy a coffee break during the charging process.
Do you draw, write or make music? Then let your creativity run wild for 30 minutes. If you are active on social media or have your own blog, you can use the time to post or share content. If you are on a business trip, you have the opportunity to answer e-mails, complete tasks or review documents. Or you can simply acquire new knowledge: through podcasts, audiobooks or exciting educational programs. In any case, your “leisure time” gained can be spent in a variety of useful ways.
Use the charging time to work on creative ideas or do things you've been putting off.

The ultra-fast charging stations from Aral pulse have several charging points and are equipped with CCS and CHAdeMO connections. All vehicles with these connection types can charge at Aral pulse charging points.

Aral pulse customers currently charge for 28 minutes on average.

You can always charge ultra-fast at almost all Aral pulse charging points – as much as your car will accept.
The exact duration of the charging process depends on various factors. Here are some of the significant influences on the charging time:

  1. Battery technology of your vehicle
  2. General condition and current charge level of the battery
  3. External influencing factors (battery and outside temperature)

Use the card terminal for the fastest access.

Aral pulse is very flexible – the choice is up to you. The easiest way to do this, however, is via a card terminal. Here are step-by-step instructions:

  1. Select card payment: Press the button under “Card payment” on the main screen.
  2. Authorise: Hold or insert a card, smartphone or smartwatch in front of the terminal to the right of the screen. EUR 70 will be blocked as a security deposit.
  3. Select a charging plug: Press the button on the main screen under the desired connector.
  4. Plug the charging plug into the electric car: As soon as the LED light around the selected charging plug flashes blue, connect the charging station to the car.
  5. To end the charging process: Call up the active charging session, authorise again and press the button below “Stop”. You can now remove the charging plug from your electric car and plug it back into the charging station.
  6. Obtain receipt: Press the button under “Receipt” in the main menu, authorise and take a photo of the electronic receipt on the screen.
